Mumbai: In a recent interview, actress Sara Khan, who stars as Goddess Kritikayen in Chhathi Maiya Ki Bitiya on Sun Neo, shared her unique approach to getting into character quickly. Unlike many actors who spend hours on makeup and costumes, Sara has streamlined her preparation process to just 10–15 minutes. “I do my makeup in the car while commuting to the set, so I just need to wear my clothes and jewelry once I arrive,” she explained, adding that she doesn’t have the patience for long hours in front of the mirror.
Sara’s character requires her to wear elaborate costumes and heavy jewelry, which can be physically challenging. “The weight of the jewelry often leaves marks and can cause itching,” she admitted, noting that she has adjusted to these demands over time. The production team also works hard to make her comfortable during long shoots, helping her manage the weighty accessories that come with her role.
The show Chhathi Maiya Ki Bitiya, which airs on Sun Neo from Monday to Saturday at 7:00 PM, centers around Vaishnavi, an orphan who views the divine Chhathi Maiya as a maternal figure. Played by Brinda Dahal, Vaishnavi’s story celebrates the triumph of good over evil and pays homage to the power and devotion associated with Chhathi Maiya, portrayed by Devoleena Bhattacharjee.
