Samsung Innovation Campus Certifies 1,000 Students in Future-Tech Skills in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: In a significant boost to digital skilling and youth employability, Samsung has certified 1,000 students in future-ready technologies under its Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme in Uttar Pradesh. The certification ceremony was held at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University in the presence of Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya.

With this milestone, the total number of SIC-certified students in the state has reached 4,900, positioning Uttar Pradesh as one of the most active centres for the programme in India. The cohort included students from Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Government Girls’ Polytechnic, and Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Divyangjan.

The training covered high-demand domains such as Artificial Intelligence (600 students), Coding and Programming (300 students), and Internet of Things (100 students). Beyond technical expertise, the programme also emphasized soft skills development and structured placement support, ensuring students are industry-ready.

Launched in India in 2022, Samsung Innovation Campus aims to expand access to advanced technology education and align with the government’s national skilling agenda. Speaking at the event, Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya highlighted the importance of such collaborations in preparing students for a rapidly evolving, technology-driven job market.

Samsung representatives noted that the initiative is designed to build a strong talent pipeline capable of contributing to India’s growing digital economy. The programme has also maintained a strong focus on inclusivity, with nearly 45 percent participation from women nationwide.

Implemented in partnership with sector skill councils and accredited training partners, Samsung Innovation Campus continues to expand its reach, with a target of training 20,000 youth across the country. Along with initiatives like Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung DOST, the programme is playing a key role in strengthening India’s digital skilling ecosystem.

The initiative underscores a shared commitment between industry and government to equip young talent with future-ready skills, enabling them to participate in and shape the global technology landscape.
