Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party marked the 122nd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh with simplicity and reverence. The event was held at the Chaudhary Charan Singh PG College in Hewra, Etawah, where the National President of the Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav, unveiled a statue of the party’s founder and former Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav.
During the ceremony, Akhilesh Yadav lauded Chaudhary Charan Singh as a great leader of the farmers who made bold decisions for their welfare. He shared his personal connection with Mulayam Singh Yadav, stating that the former Chief Minister dedicated his life to advancing the interests of farmers, just as Chaudhary Charan Singh had.
Akhilesh Yadav also strongly criticized the current BJP government, calling it “anti-farmer” and accusing it of neglecting the problems faced by the agricultural community. He pointed out that the government was more focused on creating new controversies to divert attention from the pressing issues affecting farmers.

The event saw the presence of several prominent Samajwadi Party leaders, including National General Secretary Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav, National General Secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav, Member of Parliament Aditya Yadav, MLA Tej Pratap Yadav, along with numerous other party leaders and activists.
The unveiling of Mulayam Singh Yadav’s statue at this significant event symbolized the party’s commitment to honoring the legacy of its founder while continuing the fight for farmers’ rights and social justice.
