Samajwadi Party Pays Tribute to Chaudhary Charan Singh on his 122nd Birth Anniversary

Lucknow: The 122nd birth anniversary of farmers’ champion and Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, was observed with simplicity and respect at the Samajwadi Party’s state headquarters and across Uttar Pradesh. The occasion was marked by heartfelt tributes to Chaudhary Charan Singh, with discussions focused on his political and social ideologies.

At the event held at the Samajwadi Party’s state headquarters in Lucknow, Rajendra Chaudhary, National Secretary and former Cabinet Minister, paid homage to Chaudhary Charan Singh by garlanding his portrait. In his address, he stated, “Chaudhary Sahab dedicated his entire life to fighting for the rights of farmers and the poor. He was a true messiah of farmers, and his thoughts and work continue to inspire the Samajwadi Party today.”

Chaudhary also mentioned how former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav had honored Chaudhary Charan Singh by installing his statue in front of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He further noted that the current National President of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, continues to fight for the rights of farmers and the underprivileged, following in Chaudhary Sahab’s footsteps.

Several senior party leaders and workers paid tribute to Chaudhary Charan Singh during the event. Among the prominent attendees were B. Pandey, National President of the Samajwadi Teacher’s Association, former MP Arvind Kumar Singh, former MLA Shailendra Yadav Lallai, former MLC Ramvriksh Yadav, tribal leader Vyasji Gond, and other distinguished guests.

Other notable attendees included Brajesh Singh , National President of the Youth Brigade, Nikhat Siddiqui, National Secretary of the Advocates’ Association, Engineer Dinesh Yadav, National Secretary of the Lohia Brigade, Dr. Imran, National President of the Samajwadi Student Association, and District Panchayat Member Raja Man Singh.

Also present at the ceremony were Mohammad Ahmad, Rakesh Yadav, Satyendra Yadav, Tanveer, Shobhit Verma, Achhe Lal Yadav, Kailash Bauddh, Sunil Singh Yadav, and numerous other leaders, all of whom paid their respects to Chaudhary Charan Singh.

On this significant day, the Samajwadi Party reiterated its commitment to spreading Chaudhary Charan Singh’s thoughts among the masses and pledged to continue walking the path laid by his policies.
