Lucknow — The Samajwadi Party (SP) has intensified its efforts to unite its ‘PDA’ (Pichda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) alliance in preparation for the 2027 Assembly elections. Party President Akhilesh Yadav today cautioned workers against the “conspiracies” of the BJP, while addressing a meeting of functionaries from Agra, Mathura, and Hathras districts.
Yadav criticized the current government, stating that the development projects initiated by the previous SP administration for Agra, Mathura, and Hathras have been neglected. He announced that the party would release a separate manifesto for these three districts for the 2027 elections, which will include new development schemes.
Addressing the gathering at the party’s state office, Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of a “conspiracy” to rig elections, stating that the public is already determined to bring the SP back to power in 2027. He emphasized that the SP’s goal is to establish social justice and that a caste census would ensure rights and respect for all sections of society based on their population. The strength of the PDA alliance, he added, has made the BJP fearful of defeat.
The SP chief also instructed party workers to pay close attention to the voter list to prevent any manipulation and to ensure that no one’s vote is deleted. He labeled the BJP’s alleged tampering of voter lists and rigging of polls as a “conspiracy to destroy the sanctity of democratic systems.”
Akhilesh Yadav also highlighted the international significance of Agra and Mathura, which he said was being undermined by the BJP. He accused the ruling party of misusing power to mislead the public in Mathura, claiming that true development in the region occurred during the SP’s tenure. He further criticized the BJP government on multiple fronts, including deteriorating law and order, education, and healthcare, as well as rising inflation and unemployment. The former Chief Minister called for unity among party workers to achieve success at the booth level and ensure a prosperous future for the people of Uttar Pradesh.
