Saiee Manjrekar Prioritizes Quality Over Quantity in Acting Career

Mumbai: Saiee Manjrekar, the 23-year-old actress and daughter of renowned filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, is taking a deliberate and patient approach to her career in the film industry. The actress, who began her professional journey at the age of 16, says she is not in a hurry to accept every project that comes her way, preferring to focus on meaningful roles that contribute to her artistic growth.

“I’m not in a rush to fill my calendar just for the sake of being busy,” Saiee stated. “At this stage in my life, I want to work on projects that I genuinely want to be a part of—stories that thrill me, roles that challenge me, and experiences that foster my artistic development.” She emphasized that for her, a project must provide the freedom to explore her craft and “bring something unique to the table.”

Saiee believes that working from a place of passion ultimately leads to better outcomes. “I’m content to wait for the appropriate opportunity,” she said, highlighting her focus on thoughtful choices over “hasty decisions that don’t fit with my goal.” This philosophy stands in contrast to the fast-paced nature of the industry where many actors feel pressure to maintain a constant presence.

The actress made her film debut with a cameo in the 2012 Marathi film Kaksparsh before her first major role in the 2019 Hindi action-comedy Dabangg 3, opposite Salman Khan. Her journey has included both commercial success and setbacks, such as her 2022 Telugu debut Ghani, which was a box office failure. However, she bounced back with a critically acclaimed performance in the biographical action film Major the same year.

Saiee’s upcoming projects include the Hindi film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, where she stars alongside Ajay Devgn and Tabu, and the Telugu film Arjun Son of Vyjayanthi. She is carving her own path, demonstrating a commitment to quality over quantity and a belief that a lasting career is built on a foundation of carefully chosen roles.
