Lucknow – In a heartwarming display of courage and compassion, women constables of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) came to the rescue of a woman in labor at Lucknow Junction on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred at Platform No. 2, where Anjali, a passenger, suddenly went into labor pains. Without wasting a moment, the RPF women personnel created a protective cover using sarees and bedsheets, ensuring privacy and safety for the mother. Under their care, Anjali gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
Both mother and child are safe, and immediate medical assistance was arranged following the delivery. The timely intervention and presence of mind of the RPF women constables earned widespread praise from fellow passengers, who lauded their sensitivity, bravery, and humane spirit.

Railway officials said such acts reinforce the trust of travelers in the force, which continues to go beyond duty to protect and serve passengers in need.
