Kanpur: The constable recruitment exam 2023 organized by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Promotion Board is being held in Kanpur in 2 shifts for 05 days. In the first phase, the exam will be conducted on 23,24,25 August and in the second phase on 30,31 August at 69 centers.
The Central Zone of the Police Commissionerate has the maximum number of 26 examination centers. The exam will be held in a total of 10 shifts. 25,800 candidates appeared in each shift.
Every room, gate, in the examination center is equipped with CCTV. Candidates will have to go through admit card and ID card checking, metal detector, frisking, deposit search and biometric. The Crime Branch along with the STF has camped at the centers. The first shift examination in the city is over.

1 District Nodal Officer, 1 Assistant Nodal Officer, 4 Zone Nodal Officers, 4 Zone Assistant Nodal Officers, 10 Gazetted Sector Police Officers, 69 In-charge Centers, 69 In-charge Control Rooms have been appointed at the examination centers.
1466 police officers and employees including 5 DCPs deployed
The responsibility of conducting the examination has been given to 5 Deputy Commissioners of Police, 5 Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, 10 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 59 Inspectors, 298 Sub-Inspectors, 760 Head Constables and Constables.
Candidates should keep in mind…
– You have to reach the center at least 1 hour before the start of the examination.
– The entrance gates will be closed 30 minutes before the examination. After this entry will not be allowed.
– Candidates who have not given Aadhaar number in the application form will have to reach the center 2 hours in advance for verification.
-All are required to bring the admit card, an identity document (e-Aadhaar, Driving License, Passport) and a black or blue ball point pen.
