Lucknow — The Rotary Club of Lucknow celebrated its 89th Charter Day along with Rotary International Foundation Day in a grand ceremony held on Thursday evening at Rotary Bhawan, 14A Rotary Marg, Nirala Nagar.
The event was attended by newly elected District Governor Nominee Rotarian Mankeshwar Pandey, who graced the occasion along with his spouse as the chief guest. A highlight of the समारोह was the felicitation of Padma Shri awardee Prof. Dr. Rotarian Rajendra Prasad for his outstanding contributions in the fields of education and social service. He was honoured with a memento and ceremonial stole in recognition of his achievements.
Club President Rotarian Ganesh Agrawal presided over the function, while Secretary Rotarian Vibhor Agrawal conducted the proceedings. In his address, the President reaffirmed Rotary’s commitment to humanitarian service, community development and the promotion of ethical values.
Former presidents of the club were also honoured for their exemplary service. The programme was coordinated by Assistant Governor Rotarian Praveen Kumar Mittal. Several past district governors, past presidents and senior Rotarians, along with their spouses, attended the event, marking the celebration with dignity and renewed dedication to service.
