Rotary Club donates Breast Screening Machine to Lok Bandhu Hospital

Lucknow: In a commendable step toward enhancing women’s healthcare, the Rotary Club of Lucknow Transgomti, under the leadership of President Rotarian Poorvi Mittal, donated a state-of-the-art iBreast screening (mammography) machine to Lok Bandhu Hospital. Valued at Rs 8.5 lakh, the machine was procured through the collective contributions of club members.

This advanced, radiation-free machine is easy to operate and plays a crucial role in the early detection of breast cancer, significantly aiding timely diagnosis and treatment. The donation event was graced by chief guest Rashmi Singh, IAS, wife of Chief Secretary Manoj Singh.

Singh praised the Rotary Club’s ongoing commitment to public welfare and healthcare enhancement. Also present at the event were hospital director Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, club secretary Vinod Singh, treasurer Ila Gambhir, executive director Sudhir S. Halwasiya, former president Pankaj Mittal, and other club members.

The initiative underscores Rotary Club’s sustained dedication to social service and preventive healthcare in the region.
