Raipur: Team India’s jersey for the 2026 T20 World Cup was officially unveiled on Wednesday during the innings break of the second ODI between India and South Africa in Raipur. Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma and young batter Tilak Verma gave fans the first glimpse of the jersey. Rohit, who led India to the T20 World Cup 2024 victory, is the brand ambassador for the upcoming edition, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Having retired from Test and T20 Internationals, Rohit remains active in ODIs and is the first current player designated as an ICC brand ambassador.
The tenth edition of the T20 World Cup will start on February 7, 2026, with the final scheduled for March 8, 2026. A total of 20 teams will compete across eight venues—five in India and three in Sri Lanka—including Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Colombo, and Kandy, hosting 55 matches in total. India is in Group A, alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, as well as Netherlands, Namibia, and USA. Under a special agreement between the BCCI and PCB, Pakistan will play all its group matches in Sri Lanka.
India, the defending champions, will open their campaign on February 7 in Mumbai against the USA, followed by matches against Namibia in Delhi on February 12, Pakistan in Colombo on February 15, and Netherlands in Ahmedabad on February 18. The tournament format mirrors the 2024 edition, with 20 teams divided into five groups of four. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super-8 stage, followed by semifinals and the final.

Fans and cricket enthusiasts eagerly awaited the jersey launch, celebrating the combination of India’s cricketing legacy with a modern design ready for the next global T20 showdown.
