Rohilkhand University Students Shine at National Youth Parliament in Delhi

Bareilly: Participants from the Cultural Centre of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University delivered an impressive performance at the National Youth Parliament organized by Dainik Jagran at Miranda House, University of Delhi, New Delhi.

Representing the university, students Deepanshu Deep and Sunaina Saxena participated in high-level debates on key national issues and legislative bills. While Deepanshu spoke from the opposition side, Sunaina Saxena represented the ruling side, both presenting well-structured and logical arguments during the discussions.

The selection for the National Youth Parliament was highly competitive, with participants shortlisted after rigorous deliberations on four major topics: One Nation, One Election, reforms in broadcasting services, review of judicial service reforms, and the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991. The Rohilkhand University participants particularly stood out during the fourth session, which focused on the sensitive and significant issue of places of worship.

The event was graced by Vijender Gupta, Speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, along with subject experts and panelists who appreciated the clarity, confidence, and analytical depth demonstrated by the students.

Congratulating the participants on their achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh, Registrar Harish Chandra, Controller of Examinations Sanjeev Kumar Singh, and Cultural Coordinator Dr. Jyoti Pandey lauded their good performance. Several faculty members including Prof. Vinay Verma, Dr. Inderpreet, Dr. Reena, Dr. Saurabh, Dr. Atul, and Tapan Verma, along with department heads and staff, also extended their best wishes.

The achievement reflects the university’s growing emphasis on nurturing critical thinking, public speaking, and leadership skills among students.
