Bareilly: Rajneesh Kumar, an M.A. History student from the constituent Government College, Sahaswan (Badaun), operating under the direct administrative control of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, has been selected for the post of Block Development Officer (BDO) in the UPPSC 2024 examination, bringing pride to both the university and the college.
Constituent colleges functioning under the university’s direct administration hold a significant place, and the achievements of their students are considered a matter of special गौरव for the institution.
College Principal Dr. Gurudeep Singh Uppal felicitated Rajneesh Kumar with a memento and extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the college. He remarked that a student’s success is equally a teacher’s achievement. Rajneesh’s father, Indrapal Singh, was also honoured on the occasion.
Sharing his journey, Rajneesh Kumar credited his parents, Pravesh Kumari and Indrapal Singh, along with his teachers, for their constant support. Highlighting his perseverance, he stated that after facing multiple challenges—including three UPSC mains and two interviews, along with five UPPSC attempts, three mains, and one interview—he finally achieved success with his selection as BDO.
Faculty members including Dr. Naveen Kumar, Dr. Tekchand, Dr. Saurabh Nagar, Dr. Shubhra Maheshwari, Dr. Rajni Gupta, Dr. Parul Agrawal, Dr. Neeti Saxena, Dr. Shubhra Shukla, Dr. Surjeet Singh Maurya, Dr. Surya Pratap Gautam, and Dr. Brahmaswaroop, along with non-teaching staff, congratulated Rajneesh and described the achievement as a proud moment for the institution.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh also lauded Rajneesh’s accomplishment, stating that his success reflects the quality of education and guidance provided in the university’s constituent colleges. He praised Rajneesh’s determination and resilience, calling his journey truly inspirational for other students.
