Bareilly: In another significant achievement, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh has become one of the government universities with the highest number of Patents published in the past 3 years, said prof Amit Singh,Media Incharge,Rohilkhand University in an exclusive interview with the Lucknow Tribune.
Considering the rank of the university among others as per the latest India Today Survey of July 2024, MJP Rohilkhand University is on the 4th ranking all over India, in the list of ranking among govt. universities, with total number of 92 patents published in past three years in different disciplines, he added.
This is one of the best performances given by the University. MJP Rohilkhand University is working robustly to make India a self-reliant & self-sufficient nation not only in the field of Science & Technology but also in other disciplines.
By submitting patent applications in several developing fields, Rohilkhand University is trying its best to contribute in creating new products, process and technology which in turn will be benefiting the comprehensive development of the country ,he further said.
Patents published belong to diverse fields such as, science, technology, law, cyber law, artificial intelligence, machine learning, business management, agriculture, etc.
To name a few, “A study to understand the correlation between artificial intelligence and legal implications”, “implementation of ubiquitous computing to combat the challenges in online healthcare systems,” A study to effectively analyse the current challenges of water management in agriculture”, A systematic approach to analyse the impact of tax laws on business,” etc.
These are some of the patents published by the University. Some of the prominent inventors of patents from the University are Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh, Prof. S.S. Bedi, Prof. Alok Srivastava, Prof. Sanjay Garg, Prof. Vinay Rishiwal, Prof. Bhola Khan, Dr. Amit Singh, Prof. S.K. Pandey, Prof. Anil Singh, Dr. Brajesh Kumar, etc. The value of patent protection for inventions is emphasized in contemporary practices and trends, which promote university participation, especially from research academics. University’s active working and participation in such developments is commendable,said prof Singh.
