Bareilly: In a proud moment for academia and youth leadership, Swarnima Gupta, a former student of the Cultural Centre at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, has been selected to represent in the Youth Parliament at the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
According to Cultural Coordinator Dr. Jyoti Pandey, the Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad Yojana is a national-level initiative aimed at engaging young individuals aged 18 to 25 in shaping the vision of Developed India @ 2047. The platform encourages youth participation in leadership, policy discussions, and nation-building through structured debates and parliamentary simulations.
The selection process is conducted at district, state, and national levels. Swarnima Gupta earned her place among the top five selected participants during the Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad 2026 event held in Shahjahanpur on March 27, 2026.
A talented member of the university’s Cultural Club, Swarnima has actively participated in speech and debate competitions through the Cultural Centre and has won several accolades. Her achievement reflects her dedication and excellence in public speaking and critical thinking.
Congratulating her on the accomplishment, Vice Chancellor Prof. K. P. Singh, Registrar Harish Chand, Controller of Examinations Sanjeev Kumar Singh, and other faculty members extended their best wishes. Faculty members including Dr. Inderpreet Kaur, Dr. Saurabh Verma, Dr. Reena, and Dr. Atul, along with Media Cell representatives Prof. Vinay Verma and Tapan Verma, also praised her achievement.

Members of the Cultural Club, including Deepanshu Deep, Sunaena Saxena, Lavi Singh, Shubhi, Jayanti, Akshita Parashari, Piyush Pal, Mehak Fatima, Alankrita, Inaam, and Atharva, expressed their happiness and extended best wishes.
