RML Institute Honoured for Excellence in Implementing Ayushman Bharat Scheme

Lucknow: Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) was felicitated for its exemplary work in delivering healthcare services to the needy under the Ayushman Bharat schemes. The award ceremony was held on Monday at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Convention Centre, King George’s Medical University (KGMU), marking seven years of the Ayushman Bharat initiative.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, the chief guest, presented a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Vikram Singh, Chief Medical Superintendent of RMLIMS, for the institute’s outstanding contribution in providing free and subsidized healthcare services under schemes such as the Prime Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana, Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign, and the Prime Minister’s Jan Aushadhi Yojana.

RMLIMS Director Prof. C.M. Singh highlighted that the institute remains committed to making healthcare accessible to economically weaker sections. Prof. Vikram Singh emphasized that the recognition underscores how government schemes can be effectively implemented to benefit the needy.

Prof. Bhuvan Chandra Tiwari, Head of Cardiology, noted that a significant number of patients with heart disease, cancer, and other serious illnesses have benefited from government initiatives through the institute. This achievement positions RMLIMS as a model for successfully implementing government healthcare schemes across the state and nation.
