RGIPT Hosts 11th International Yoga Day Celebrations with Enthusiasm and Unity

Amethi : The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais, Amethi, marked the 11th International Day of Yoga with a spirited celebration on Saturday, June 21, 2025. This year’s global theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” underscored the significance of harmony between individual well-being and planetary health.

The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty, administrative staff, and their families. Leading the celebrations were Director Prof. Harish Hirani, Dr. Kaushik Guha Biswas (Chairman, Hostel Council), and Heads of Departments, who collectively joined in a rejuvenating yoga session.

The yoga session was conducted under the expert guidance of Yoga Instructors Shri Rambole Shukla and Ms. Neetu, who led participants through a series of asanas and pranayama exercises. During the session, Shri Shukla emphasized the transformative power of yoga, stating,

“Even dedicating just 30 minutes daily to yoga and breathing exercises can help overcome many common physical and mental health issues.”

He further urged everyone to incorporate yoga and meditation into their busy lives to achieve greater mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical fitness.

The session received enthusiastic response from attendees, who expressed appreciation for the opportunity to participate in a collective movement aimed at fostering a healthier and more conscious India. The atmosphere reflected a shared commitment to wellness and the holistic values that yoga embodies.

RGIPT’s successful observation of International Yoga Day once again reinforced its dedication to nurturing not just academic excellence but also the overall well-being of its community.
