CM Yogi Adityanath: Revenue Cases Must Be Resolved Strictly
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a series of key directions while reviewing the functioning of the state Revenue Department, stressing that all revenue-related cases must be resolved strictly on merit and within a fixed timeframe. He said accountability should be clearly fixed in pending cases related to land measurement, mutation, inheritance and population records, ensuring time-bound disposal.
The Chief Minister directed officials to roll out a rover-based land measurement system across all districts at the earliest. He emphasised that along with procurement of rovers, proper training and a well-defined operational framework must be ensured for effective implementation. He also underlined the need to make the consolidation process transparent by adopting map-based and technology-driven systems, suggesting collaboration with engineering colleges, polytechnics and ITIs for training purposes.
Highlighting the importance of citizen-centric governance, CM Yogi instructed the department to develop a system for automatic disposal of mutation and inheritance cases to provide hassle-free and timely justice. He also called for faster digitisation of land records, simplification of land-use change procedures under Section 80, and the creation of a call centre–like grievance redressal mechanism at the Revenue Council level.
The Chief Minister directed that all works be completed in mission mode at a war footing. He also ordered timely resolution of pending cases related to farmer registry, land measurement and khasra verification, and improvement in the efficiency and transparency of services such as income, caste and residence certificates.
In view of the ongoing cold wave, CM Yogi instructed officials to expedite arrangements for night shelters, bonfires at public places and blanket distribution for the needy. He also directed construction of boundary walls around Ambedkar statues in gram panchayats, coordination with the Social Welfare Department, establishment of lekhpal offices in panchayat secretariats, and development of integrated multi-storey district office complexes to enhance administrative efficiency.
