LUCKNOW – Residents and commuters in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, are raising serious concerns over the deteriorating state of the roads around Kisaan Bazar. The abysmal condition of the thoroughfares is not just an inconvenience but has become a significant public safety hazard, leading to frequent accidents.
Local citizens are voicing their frustration, stating that the poor infrastructure has made daily travel a perilous ordeal. A local resident, V.K. Singh, expressed the community’s despair, saying, “You can feel the pain of the public when you see it with your own eyes.” He further added that people feel as though they are “awaiting the mercy of the gods” when they are on these roads, a sentiment that underscores the gravity of the situation.
The numerous potholes and damaged stretches are particularly dangerous for two-wheelers and pedestrians, with several accidents reported in recent times. Despite the evident risks, residents say little to no action has been taken by the authorities.
The local community is collectively calling for swift and decisive action from municipal authorities to address the issue. They urge for immediate repair work and maintenance to be carried out to prevent further accidents and restore safe passage for everyone using the roads in and around Kisaan Bazar.
