Lucknow: Heritage lovers flocked to La Martiniere College, Lucknow, this past weekend for a special walk through history—one that turned out to be the most attended yet, despite being announced just two days in advance. A total of 46 participants joined the immersive heritage experience, led by Atif Anzar, the founder of the organizing group.
The walk took attendees across the iconic campus, including stops at the monument of Bon Louise (Gori Bibi), the grave of Hudson, Claude Martin’s Museum, The Constantia, the historic chapel, and even a rare visit beneath it to access the tomb. One of the most talked-about spots was the old horse stables, sparking curiosity and admiration among visitors.
Adding a soulful, local touch to the event, a senior attendee brought along homemade Birhin Paratha paired with tangy raw mango chutney—offering a delicious taste of traditional Awadhi summer mornings.

The walk not only celebrated Lucknow’s colonial-era legacy but also saw enthusiastic participation from the youth, bridging the past with the present in a meaningful way.
Due to overwhelming response, the organizers have announced another heritage walk at the same location this coming Sunday.
