Ready to Invest in Every State, Irrespective of Who Is in Power: Pranav Adani

Mumbai: Highlighting the critical role of smaller cities in India’s growth story, noted industrialist Pranav Adani, Director at Adani Enterprises and nephew of Gautam Adani, has said that Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities are the real engines of India’s development. In a recent interview, he underlined that true “Bharat” resides beyond metros and that the country’s ambition of becoming a developed nation hinges on unlocking the potential of these regions.

Speaking on leadership principles, Pranav Adani said that humility in success and courage in adversity form the core of his leadership philosophy. “When things go well, stay grounded, and when challenges arise, stay brave,” he remarked.

‘At Home He Is Loving, At Work a Taskmaster’

Responding to questions about Gautam Adani’s leadership style, Pranav Adani shared a candid insight. “At home, he is extremely loving, but at work, he is definitely a taskmaster,” he said with a smile. He described Gautam Adani as a highly disciplined leader who leads by example. “Just by watching him work, you learn leadership. We are fortunate to get an opportunity to learn so much from him,” he added.

Investment Across States, Politics Irrelevant

On the issue of investing across states and staying away from political considerations, Pranav Adani said the Adani Group has already invested in around 26 states, with a presence at nearly 400 locations across the country. “Whether it is infrastructure, power, cement or utility services, our businesses are active across India,” he said.

He pointed out that youth across states often raise similar concerns. “Young people in Bihar ask why investments are not coming there. Youth in Kerala ask why they have to migrate for work. The same questions are raised in Assam and West Bengal, where we are already investing,” he noted. “Wherever a state needs investment, we go there—irrespective of which political party is in power.”

‘Dharavi Residents to Get ₹1-Crore Homes Free’

Addressing questions around the Dharavi redevelopment project, Pranav Adani said he personally visits Dharavi and interacts with residents. “People are far more hopeful now. Thanks to social media, they can see development happening around them and aspire for the same opportunities,” he said.

He explained that residents will receive 350 sq ft carpet-area homes, free of cost. “If you consider Mumbai’s average rate of around ₹30,000 per sq ft, this translates to a home worth nearly ₹1 crore, absolutely free,” he said. Emphasising dignity, he added that everyone deserves humane living conditions, noting that people in Dharavi have lived in extremely difficult circumstances for decades.

Bihar on the Path of Development

On investments in Bihar, Pranav Adani said he has personally attended the state’s investors’ summit twice. “The youth there are very ambitious, but lack of opportunities forces them to migrate,” he observed. He stressed that access to reliable energy and supportive governance can unlock large-scale investment.

“Our company has set up a cement plant in Wastiligunj and has also initiated smart meter projects and multiple road projects,” he said. “I firmly believe Bihar is now on a clear path of development and is changing rapidly.”

Pranav Adani’s remarks underline the Adani Group’s long-term vision of inclusive growth, with a strong focus on regional development, infrastructure creation and improving quality of life across India—beyond political boundaries and metropolitan limits.
