Ramgarhtal’s Marine Drive to get floating restaurant

Gorakhpur: In the last seven years, the Yogi Government has transformed the Ramgarhtal area in such a way that this area has become famous as the ‘Marine Drive’ of Gorakhpur. Ramgarhtal, which has developed as the most sought-after tourist spot in eastern Uttar Pradesh, already has the facility of cruise, now one can also enjoy a floating restaurant here.

North India’s floating restaurant equipped with state-of-the-art facilities is ready in Ramgarhtal, which has natural beauty. It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Ramgarhtal area has emerged as an important center of tourism and food. Many branded hospitality establishments have already knocked in this area. Now tourists here will also get the facility of a floating restaurant named ‘Float’ in Ramgarhtal, that is, a restaurant floating on water. After the Lake Queen Cruise, the floating restaurant will be a big gift for the tourists.

The Yogi Government showed such seriousness towards Ramgarhtal, which was neglected and synonymous with filth for decades, that today it is counted in the forefront as a beautiful and scenic tourist destination of eastern Uttar Pradesh. The march of tourism and employment with the bright and well-maintained Ramgarhtal under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presents a new picture of development. Today this lake is pleasing to the tourists and also a means of providing employment to a large number of youth.

Ramgarhtal, which was a victim of neglect till seven years ago, is being counted as a favorite tourist destination of eastern Uttar Pradesh. The 1700 acre wide natural lake in which the garbage of the entire city used to fall, has become so beautiful due to the vision of CM Yogi and the development work done in accordance with it that people are coming from far and wide to see its beauty.

Tourists in Ramgarhtal are enjoying the ride on the ‘Lake Queen’ cruise inaugurated by CM Yogi on 15 December 2023 and now the pleasure of delicious dishes is also available at the floating restaurant in this lake. The construction of the floating restaurant started on 17 August 2022 and now it is ready. The interior has been made very attractive. This floating restaurant with a total area of ​​​​9600 square feet and three floors can accommodate 100 to 150 visitors at a time.

Alok Aggarwal, Managing Director of the company operating the ‘Float’, says that there is also a lift facility from the ground floor to the first and second floors. The food court built on the ground floor has a long range of pure vegetarian delicious dishes. While on the first floor, a party can be held in a musical style. The second floor is of open rooftop where one can taste the dishes while sitting in the open and watching the lake. The design of the entire floating restaurant is such that the people sitting in it will be able to see the beauty of Ramgarhtal completely. Its construction has cost more than ten crore rupees and it has been made in accordance with the standards of the Indian Registrar of Shipping.

500 crores will be invested in the YIDA area, 5000 people will get employment

Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) will get a revenue of Rs 4.5 lakh per month from this floating restaurant. GDA has currently signed an agreement with the operating company for 15 years. If the work is satisfactory, it can be extended for 5 years. It will be inaugurated by GDA on Thursday afternoon by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi).

According to GDA Vice President Anand Vardhan, the formal program for the inauguration of the floating restaurant will be held at the jetty of Ramgarhtal. On this occasion, the allotment certificate will also be handed over to the allottees of GDA’s important residential scheme ‘Greenwood Apartment’ by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi). Greenwood Apartment is being built on 5.20 acres near Ramgarhtal. This residential project costing Rs 374.49 crore will have 300 three BHK HIG and 179 four BHK HIG flats. The target is to complete the construction of these apartments by July 2027.
