Lucknow – On the eve of Raksha Bandhan, Balika Vidyalaya Inter College, Moti Nagar, Lucknow, organised a colourful Rakhi-Making Competition celebrating the spirit of the festival that symbolises the bond of protection and love between brothers and sisters.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Leena Mishra said, “A rakhi created with heartfelt emotions is truly invaluable.” The event was coordinated by Ragini Yadav and Meenakshi Gautam, with full support from Manjula Yadav. Students from Classes 9 to 12 participated, crafting beautifully designed rakhis that reflected creativity and cultural tradition.
Winners included Palak Nishad (Class 12 – First), Shubhi (Class 10 – Second), and Chahat (Class 11 – Third). Consolation prizes went to Aradhana Nishad (Class 11), Tania (Class 9), and Muskan (Class 12). The winners received medals and certificates, while all participants enjoyed refreshments.


Judges Shalini Srivastava and Richa Awasthi praised the students’ artistry, and all faculty members encouraged them to continue embracing cultural traditions.
