Raj Bhavan Employees Present Socially Relevant Plays at Bhatkhande Sanskriti University, Lucknow

Lucknow: Inspired by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh,  Anandiben Patel, the employees of Raj Bhavan presented a series of thought-provoking plays at Bhatkhande Sanskriti University, Lucknow, focusing on de-addiction, women empowerment, and social awareness. The cultural presentation, directed by Shri Kamal Yadav, showcased remarkable performances that combined artistic talent with social consciousness.

The event began with a play on De-Addiction, highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and the need for collective awareness through powerful acting and sensitive storytelling. This was followed by Ek Din Mobile Cabin, a play depicting the growing emotional distance in families due to excessive mobile phone usage.

The concluding performance, Raksha Bandhan Ka Tohfa, conveyed a heartwarming message about family values, affection, and emotional bonding through the sacred relationship of brother and sister, while also reflecting on Raj Bhavan’s ongoing welfare initiatives.

The plays were staged at the Rai Umanath Bali Auditorium, where Raj Bhavan employees captivated the audience with their exceptional acting skills and social sensitivity.

Bhatkhande Sanskriti University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mandavi Singh, graced the occasion along with faculty members, staff, and students. Expressing heartfelt gratitude to Governor Anandiben Patel, Prof. Singh said, “These theatrical performances by Raj Bhavan employees are not merely a source of entertainment but a powerful medium of social awareness. Such initiatives play an inspiring role in bringing about positive social change.”

Prof. Singh congratulated all the artists and organizers for their commendable effort and affirmed that the university will continue to encourage meaningful and creative cultural programs in the future.
