Radio Jaighosh Marks Third Anniversary – Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh Hails It as a Symbol of UP’s Tourism and Heritage

Lucknow – On the third anniversary of Uttar Pradesh Culture Department’s Radio Jaighosh, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh extended warm greetings to all associated with the station, praising it as a cultural icon for the state.

Recalling its inception, Singh noted that Radio Jaighosh was launched on August 9, 2022, by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the historic Kakori Action Day. Over the past three years, the station has grown steadily, captivating audiences with diverse programmes that showcase Uttar Pradesh’s tourism, culture, and social concerns. “Radio Jaighosh is not just a broadcast platform—it is now synonymous with the state’s heritage,” Singh said, expressing confidence that it will continue to uphold public interest while promoting UP’s rich traditions.

On the occasion, Principal Secretary for Tourism and Culture Mukesh Kumar Meshram urged citizens to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

As part of its anniversary week celebrations from August 5 to 9, Radio Jaighosh aired special programmes, including interviews and greetings from eminent personalities such as veteran theatre artist Dr. Anil Rastogi, historian Ravi Bhatt, Arjuna Awardee Rachna Govil, captain of UP’s visually impaired cricket team Shaukat Ali, senior physician Dr. Umang Khanna, renowned singer Mukti Chatterjee, UPSNA President and senior vocalist Jayant Khot, among others. The station also premiered a new song titled “Radio Jaighosh Hai UP Ki Dhadkan”.

The Radio Jaighosh 107.8 FM team currently includes Admin Officer Ankita Pandey, RJ Samreen, Content Writer Anand Asthana, and Recordist Shekhar Trivedi. The community and web radio continues to strengthen its presence as “the voice and heartbeat of Uttar Pradesh.”
