Lucknow — In a heartfelt tribute to Lucknow’s rich religious and cultural traditions, Radio City 91.1 FM continued its unique annual offering by presenting a 91.1-kilogram laddu to Lord Hanuman on the auspicious occasion of the fifth and final Bada Mangal of the month of Jyeshtha.
This year, the grand offering was made at the ancient Shri Lete Hanuman Ji Temple, located near Lakshman Teela in Chowk, a revered spiritual site in the city.
The enormous laddu was specially crafted by the expert sweet artisans of Chhappan Bhog, symbolizing purity, devotion, and the vibrant spirit of faith that marks the Bada Mangal festivities in Lucknow.
The religious event witnessed the presence of distinguished guests including Shri Dharmveer Prajapati, Hon’ble Minister of Industrial Development, and Shri Sanjeev Kumar Gond, State Minister for Social Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Prajapati personally offered the sacred laddu at the feet of Lord Hanuman, lauding Radio City’s continued efforts in preserving the city’s devotional fervor.
Dr. Vivek Tangdi, chief sevadas of the temple, also extended his blessings to the Radio City team, commending their dedication in organizing such a spiritually enriching event.
The ceremony drew a large gathering of devotees, listeners, and Radio City staff, all of whom joined in collective prayer and celebration, turning the occasion into a vibrant display of community faith and togetherness.
Radio City has been organizing this offering every year as a gesture of gratitude and cultural preservation. With each passing year, the tradition grows in significance and scale, reflecting the undying enthusiasm of Lucknowites and the station’s commitment to nurturing devotion through meaningful community engagement.
This year’s event once again reaffirmed Radio City’s role as more than just a broadcaster — as a carrier of tradition, emotion, and shared heritage.
