New Delhi: Big shock for cricket lovers, huge increase in ticket prices during IPL 2024. The franchise gave a big shock to the cricket lovers by increasing the ticket prices for the Punjab and Chennai IPL match to be held on May 5 at Dharamshala Cricket Stadium. The franchise has significantly increased ticket prices by Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. West Stand-2 tickets which were available for Rs 2,000 are now being sold for Rs 3,000 and Pavilion Terrace tickets for Rs 12,500 are now being sold for Rs 15,000. Not only this, despite ticket prices increasing by 30 percent, cricket fans are not able to get tickets.

IPL 2024: Fight for tickets

People were kept in online queue in Paytm app, while the message of ticket invalidity was sent later. Due to which cricket fans are not able to get tickets even after spending more money and standing in long queues online. When the franchise started selling tickets, the West Stand price was Rs 2,000, now it has been increased to Rs 3,000. Apart from this, the price of East Stand-2 has been increased from Rs 2500 to Rs 3000, the price of Pavilion Terrace has been increased from Rs 12,500 to Rs 15,000, the price of East Stand-3 has been increased from Rs 7500 to Rs 10,000, the price of North Pavilion Stand has been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5500.  The price of Club Lodge has also been increased by Rs 20 thousand, at present its price is not being made available for sale.

Hence the increased prices

The teams of former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and King Kohli  face the host Punjab Kings at Dharamshala Stadium, one of the most beautiful grounds in the world. In such a situation, fans of Dhoni and Virat and IPL cricket lovers are also waiting in online queues for the sale of tickets for the matches. Due to high demand, the franchise has increased the prices significantly. On the other hand, HPCA General Secretary Avnish Parmar said that tickets for IPL matches are being sold by the franchises. He told that the ticket prices have been decided by the franchisees themselves, considering the demand they have increased the prices.
