Lucknow: A shocking incident came to light from the Gomti Nagar Extension police station area of Lucknow, where a property dealer allegedly shot himself with his licensed revolver. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday afternoon. The injured dealer is in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at Health City Hospital.
According to information, Abhishek Dutt, a resident of Green View Apartment, Gomti Nagar Extension, was engaged in property dealing and had a plotting project near the Lucknow–Barabanki border. Around 4 pm on Saturday, he allegedly shot himself inside his office located at River View Orchid Apartment using his licensed revolver.

Hearing the gunshot, his brother-in-law Vaibhav rushed to the spot and immediately took him to the hospital for medical treatment. Abhishek Dutt was originally from Madhya Pradesh and had been living in Lucknow with his wife and two children. He was also running a company named Capshacon.

Family members stated that his business had been running at a loss since the COVID-19 period, and he was under a debt burden of approximately ₹7 to ₹8 crore. He was allegedly under continuous pressure from creditors over pending payments and land-related issues. It was also revealed that a meeting with creditors had been scheduled on Saturday, but before it could take place, he took this extreme step.
The police have initiated an investigation into the matter and stated that all aspects of the case are being examined, with necessary legal action underway.
