Lucknow : In a significant boost to the Congress party in Uttar Pradesh, a group of prominent advocates from Lakhimpur Kheri, led by Shakti Saran Gautam (Advocate), Treasurer of the District Bar Association, formally joined the Indian National Congress. The induction took place at the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Lucknow, in the presence of UP Congress President and former Minister, Ajay Rai.
Expressing faith in the inclusive ideology and policies of the Indian National Congress, the delegation, under the leadership of District Congress President Prahlad Patel, was warmly welcomed into the party fold.
Ajay Rai personally felicitated Advocate Shakti Saran Gautam and his colleagues by offering them the symbolic Congress tricolor stole and officially handed over their primary membership cards, marking their formal entry into the party.
