Prominent Academicians Honored at International Conference on Nature, Science, and Technology

Lucknow: The two-day International Conference on Nature, Science, and Technology: Modern Lifestyle – Issues & Perspectives, organized by Sarvahit Kalyan Sewa Samiti (SKSS) at Pioneer Montessori College, Eldeco, concluded on a high note with the recognition of outstanding contributions in science and research. Held on December 28-29, 2024, the event brought together leading minds to discuss contemporary issues and innovative solutions in the realms of nature, science, and technology.

The conference highlighted its commitment to fostering excellence by presenting the prestigious Women of Excellence Award to Prof. Amita Kanaujiya, a renowned wildlife conservationist whose pioneering efforts have significantly contributed to the preservation of biodiversity. Prof. Kanaujiya’s work continues to inspire action towards sustainable conservation practices across the nation.

The Best Scientist Award-2024 was conferred upon Dr. Kalpana Singh, Department of Zoology, University of Lucknow, for her extensive research on the therapeutic influence of Indian classical music. Her groundbreaking studies have opened new horizons in music therapy, emphasizing the cultural and scientific relevance of Indian classical traditions in modern healthcare.

Young researchers were also recognized for their exceptional contributions during the conference. Ms. Nikita Katiyar and Ms. Shruti Shukla were awarded the Best Presentation Awards, while Ms. Monika Yadav received the Best Poster Presentation Award.

Nikita Katiyar and  Monika Yadav presented their innovative research on music therapy, focusing on the healing potential of Indian classical music.

Shruti Shukla impressed the jury with her work in fisheries science, showcasing the relevance of sustainable practices in modern aquaculture.
