Professors Amarika Singh and Ratanlal Godara Moot Organization of Retired Academics

Lucknow: Renowned educationist and former Vice-Chancellor Professor Amarika Singh recently paid a courtesy visit to senior academic and former Vice-Chancellor Professor Ratanlal Godara. During their meeting, the two veteran scholars deliberated on forming an organization of retired professors and vice-chancellors with the aim of linking education more closely with employment and positioning India as a global leader in knowledge and innovation.

The discussion highlighted the growing importance of skill-based education, with both scholars emphasizing that nations with skilled citizens are advancing rapidly in today’s world. They noted that India’s National Education Policy (NEP) is a decisive step toward this vision, and many universities across the country have already started implementing its framework.

Both professors expressed satisfaction that India currently ranks tenth globally in the field of skills and innovation, calling it a strong indicator of progress toward the dream of a developed India.
