Process for Formation of BJP Metropolitan Executive Gains Momentum in Ayodhya

Ayodhya: The process for forming the metropolitan executive committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party has gathered pace following the announcement of the party’s city president in Ayodhya. Party officials indicated that the list of office-bearers will be announced soon after approval from the state leadership.

As part of the process, party observer Anil Yadav, Regional General Secretary for the Kanpur region appointed by the state leadership, held a detailed meeting on Saturday at the party office in Sahadatganj with public representatives and key office-bearers from the metropolitan area. Discussions focused on strengthening the party organization and finalizing names for the new executive committee.

The meeting was attended by Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi, Abhishek Mishra, Banke Bihari Mani Tripathi, and Om Prakash Singh. Regional General Secretary and Metropolitan In-charge Vijay Pratap Singh and MLA Ved Prakash Gupta joined the meeting virtually.

Following the discussions, a list of potential office-bearers has been prepared and will be sent to the state leadership for approval. After receiving clearance at the state level, Metropolitan President Kamlesh Srivastava will formally announce the new city executive committee.

Observer Anil Yadav said that the formation of the executive committee is crucial for strengthening the organization. He added that, in accordance with the directions of the state leadership, priority is being given to workers who have actively contributed to expanding the party organization and spreading the party’s ideology among the public.

Metropolitan President Kamlesh Srivastava stated that in line with party policy, 33 percent of positions in the new executive committee will be reserved for women. He emphasized that women’s active participation has been a major strength of the party and efforts are continuously being made to promote them into leadership roles.

He further informed that the metropolitan committee will consist of 21 office-bearers, 90 working committee members, and 15 special invitees. The office-bearers will include the president, eight vice presidents, three general secretaries, eight secretaries, and one treasurer. In addition, responsibilities such as media in-charge, social media in-charge, IT coordinator, and office secretary will also be assigned.

Srivastava said the new executive body will ensure representation from all sections of society to make the organization more inclusive and effective. He expressed confidence that the new team will play an important role in taking the party’s policies and the government’s welfare schemes to the people.
