Prince Andrew and Elon Musk Named in Newly Released Epstein Documents Submitted to US House Subcommittee

Washington D.C. – Newly released documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein identify Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and billionaire Elon Musk, according to reports by the BBC. The documents were submitted to the House Oversight Committee as part of ongoing investigations into Epstein’s network.

Elon Musk has denied any wrongdoing, posting on X that the claims are “false.” The records indicate that Musk was invited to visit Epstein’s private island in December 2014, though Musk has previously stated that he declined the invitation. He acknowledged visiting Epstein’s New York residence once but described Epstein as “obviously a creep” and claimed not to know him well. Musk was also photographed at a Vanity Fair event with Epstein’s co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, which he said was a “photobomb.”

Prince Andrew, younger brother of King Charles III, appears in flight logs alongside Epstein and Maxwell on a May 12, 2000, trip from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida. Some redacted financial ledgers reference payments for massages to an “Andrew” during February and May 2000, though it remains unclear if this refers to the Duke of York. Historical records show Prince Andrew was in the U.S. during these periods and attended a banquet for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

In 2022, Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement with one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Giuffre, regarding allegations of sexual assault when she was 17. The settlement included donations to a victims’ rights foundation and ended without an admission of liability. Andrew issued an apology acknowledging his association with Epstein and recognizing Giuffre as a victim.

The latest batch of documents from Epstein’s estate includes phone logs, flight manifests, financial ledgers, and daily schedules, and mentions other prominent figures such as Steve Bannon, Peter Thiel, and Bill Gates. Several entries note planned meetings, including a lunch with Thiel in November 2017 and a breakfast with Bannon in February 2019. Gates confirmed in 2022 that meeting Epstein had been a “mistake.”

Sara Guerrero, spokesperson for House Oversight Committee Democrats, urged the release of more files to ensure transparency. “Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world,” she said, emphasizing that new documents continue to shed light on his network. Republicans on the committee have criticized Democrats for allegedly politicizing the issue but promised to release the full set of documents soon.

The documents do not indicate that those mentioned were aware of Epstein’s alleged criminal activities. Epstein died by suicide in a New York prison cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

This release marks the third batch of documents made public from Epstein’s estate, offering new insights into the social and professional circles of the late financier.
