Lucknow: In a vibrant celebration of Holi, Prerna Sanstha, inspired by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), organized a special Phoolon Ki Holi event at the BBD Badminton Academy in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, on Tuesday evening. The event was marked by traditional folk singing, dance performances, and an exchange of ideas over delicacies from various districts.
Holi, one of India’s most ancient and significant festivals, symbolizes the arrival of spring and promotes unity and harmony. Prerna Sanstha has been celebrating Holi in this unique manner for the past year, aiming to preserve the cultural and spiritual essence of the festival.
A Celebration of Culture and Unity
The event saw enthusiastic participation from attendees who played Holi using flower petals instead of traditional colors. The highlight of the evening was Awadhi Lok Sangeet and Bharwai Nritya, which captivated the audience with their vibrant performances.
Holi is not just a festival of colors but a representation of social unity, breaking barriers of caste and creed. It is also deeply rooted in Hindu traditions, associated with Lord Krishna’s playful Raas Leela with Radha and the victory of good over evil through Holika Dahan. The festival fosters love, togetherness, and the spirit of reconciliation.
