Prayagraj: Prayagraj’s sacred Yamuna River has transformed into more than just a religious site—it is now a breathtaking visual spectacle. Every evening, the river’s gentle waves will light up with a dazzling laser show, promising to captivate hearts. The Water Laser Show, created by the tourism department, was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of Industrial Development, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, at the Kali Ghat on Yamuna Bank Road.
What Makes This Show Special?
The show features a 30-minute daily display of the “Kumbh Katha” on the surface of the Yamuna River. This immersive experience is projected on a water screen, combining lights, sound, and visual effects in a way that leaves spectators spellbound.
Not Limited to Kali Ghat
Tourists can enjoy this mesmerizing show at multiple locations, including Namami Gange Ghat, Maujagiri Ghat, Boat Club, and Triveni Darshan Ghat. These sites are part of the preparations for the Mahakumbh 2025, which is expected to draw millions of visitors daily.

Preparing for Mahakumbh 2025
Prayagraj is gearing up for the world’s largest religious gathering, Mahakumbh 2025, with an anticipated turnout of around 400 million devotees. Along with enhanced facilities for bathing, meditation, and accommodation, the Water Laser Show is set to be a major highlight of the event.
With this innovative initiative, the Yamuna River is not just a symbol of devotion but also a beacon of cultural and technological excellence, adding a new dimension to Prayagraj’s spiritual and touristic appeal.
