Post Hathras stampede, CM Yogi acts in mission mode

Hathras : CM Yogi Adityanath is in full action regarding the Hathras accident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself reached Hathras on Wednesday and here he took information about the entire incident from the officials and then CM Yogi reached Hathras District Hospital directly, where he asked the condition of the people injured in the accident and instructed the doctors to provide proper treatment to all the injured. Not only this, the CM also reached the spot amidst the pouring rain, where the officials gave him the details of the entire incident.

It is noteworthy that hundreds of people lost their lives in the stampede at Bhole Baba’s satsang program in Sikandrarao, Hathras on Tuesday. Taking immediate action, CM Yogi immediately sent a team of three ministers and the Chief Secretary and DGP to Hathras. Not only this, the CM appointed Additional DG Agra and Divisional Commissioner Aligarh to investigate the incident and directed to submit the report within 24 hours. Apart from this, the CM also announced to give assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured.

Instructions given for proper treatment of the injured

Eyewitness female constable told CM how the incident happened

After the satsang was over, people moved forward to have darshan of Narayan Sakar Hari (Bhole Baba) and touch his feet and apply his feet dust on their forehead as a blessing. When the devotees started running towards his vehicle, Baba along with his personal security personnel (Black Commandos) and sevadars started pushing and shoving with the crowd. Due to this some people fell down. From here the crowd ran towards the open field in front of the event venue where people slipped and fell due to the slope while descending from the road to the field. After this they could not get up again and the crowd started running here and there over them. In this, many women, men and children were killed and seriously injured. Immediately the injured people were sent to the hospitals and community health centers located around the incident site by police security personnel in ambulances and other available means.
