Police Seek Expert Opinion on Post-Mortem Report in Gomti Nagar Death Case

LUCKNOW – Police are intensifying their investigation into the death of 19-year-old Zamanat Hasan in Gomti Nagar. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area around the incident and are considering seeking an expert opinion on the post-mortem report to clarify the cause of death.

The Incident and Ongoing Investigation

The case stems from an incident on June 3 when Zamanat Hasan, a resident of Chowk, was out with his friend Aman Siddiqui on a scooter. According to Siddiqui, as they were passing through the G-20 intersection in Gomti Nagar Extension around 9:30 PM, a biker gang was racing. Two members of the gang, identified as Adarsh from Madiyanv and Sonu from Jankipuram, allegedly objected to Hasan crossing their racing track. Siddiqui claims that as Hasan pulled away, the two men intentionally collided with his scooter, causing him to fall. The accused then allegedly ran their bike over Hasan.

Hasan was admitted to the hospital in critical condition and later died during treatment. Following a complaint from the deceased’s father on Monday, police registered a case of murder.

Inspector Brajesh Chandra Tiwari of Gomti Nagar stated that the investigation is ongoing. He mentioned that while initial findings suggested a road accident, the police are now working to gather more evidence. “We are investigating the matter, and action will be taken based on the evidence we find during the course of the investigation,” Tiwari said. Police are also trying to determine the whereabouts of the accused at the time of the incident.
