Moradabad: “If Uttar Pradesh is making its mark as a model of good governance, then the Uttar Pradesh Police Force has a big role in it. Today, Uttar Pradesh has changed its perception through the implementation of the rule of law.” CM Yogi said this at the convocation ceremony of 74 Deputy Superintendents of Police at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Police Academy in Moradabad.
CM Yogi emphasized that the newly appointed Deputy Superintendents in the Uttar Pradesh Police Force, known as the world’s largest civil police force, will have to move towards smart policing as per PM Modi’s vision.
We have to move towards smart policing which is techno-savvy and trendy, which is strict but also sensitive, modern but also mobile, alert but equally accountable towards its work, reliable as well as responsive.
He expressed happiness over the appointment of daughters of the state on the posts of 18 Deputy SPs. He said that with the appointment of one lakh sixty thousand personnel in the police force in 7 years, there has been an immense increase in the resources available for the police force. Success has also been achieved in increasing the capacity of police training more than three times. Along with this, CM Yogi also honored Srishti Akanksha Pandey with internal training, Udit Narayan Paliwal with external training and Prakhar Pandey with ‘Sword of Honor’.
Deputy Superintendents of Police have received special training-
During the training of 74 Deputy Superintendents of Police, the trainees have been given special training in 3 new laws including law, human disorder, cyber crime, language. CM Yogi said that we know that it is said about our uniformed forces that the more sweat you shed, the less blood will be shed. You are going to be a part of the world’s largest police force, for this you deserve congratulations. We are providing continuous and clear guidance for the future of law change. Moving away from the old norms of investigation and punishment and using modern forensic technology and evidence is not only better from the point of view of justice, but this process will also prevent the wastage of justice. In view of this, the State Institute of Forensic Sciences has also been established in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
The image of Police Mitra has to be maintained intact: CM Yogi-
CM Yogi said that you are being appointed to a responsible post in the police force. Along with crime control, you will also have an active role in providing justice to the victim by ensuring the law and order is followed. We expect from you that you all have to give your 100 percent contribution to maintain the safety of the common man, maintain peace and harmony in the society and maintain the image of Mitra Police intact. While performing your duties, you will have to maintain a wonderful coordination of strictness with politeness. You all will set an example of duty, discipline and integrity.
Challenges in police service will never end-
CM Yogi said that challenges in police service never end. The police force always has to stand strong in the fight and sacrifice itself on the altar of duty. The common people of the society should feel a sense of security and trust after seeing the police uniform. You have to prove their trust right. You have to provide them security. Only your efficiency and devotion to duty can reduce the suffering of a victim, bring a smile on his face. There is no dearth of top dimensions for a sensitive police officer. If they want, they can honestly follow their duty by meeting the standards of the public with their conduct.
Strong law and order is the top priority of our government-
CM Yogi further said that the foundation of good governance in any state is strengthened by the prevention of crimes and the establishment of law and order. It can be strengthened only when the state has a responsible policing system and a professionally skilled sensitive police force. Strong law and order is the top priority of our government. For this, our government’s zero tolerance policy towards criminals is effective. To strengthen the police system, our government has done many reforms, modernized the police. In the last 7 years, there has been an immense increase in the availability of resources for new recruitments in the police force. One lakh sixty thousand personnel have been recruited to strengthen the police force. Recently, you must have seen that the written examination has been successfully conducted in Uttar Pradesh, taking forward the selection process for more than sixty thousand two hundred posts. During the last 7 years, success has been achieved in increasing the capacity of police training more than three times. Under Mission Shakti, the work of setting up women PAC battalions in Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Badaun for women empowerment has progressed rapidly.
Completed the selection process according to the benchmark-
CM Yogi emphasized that it is part of the campaign of reforms and modernization done by Uttar Pradesh Police. Newly appointed Deputy Superintendents of Police demonstrated skills in the parade-
The convocation program at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Police Academy, Moradabad began with the national anthem, after which CM Yogi took the salute of the parade. In his presence, newly appointed Deputy Superintendents of Police took oath in the convocation ceremony. The newly appointed Deputy Superintendents of Uttar Pradesh Police, working as the world’s largest police force, demonstrated their skills in the parade. During this, the police band played parade tunes including patriotic songs like ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha Hindustan Hamara’. The parade was led by Udit Narayan Paliwal. At the same time, various groups of newly appointed Deputy Superintendents participated in the parade and demonstrated their skills.
