PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana Beneficial for Workers, Entrepreneurs Informed

Lucknow  – In a joint initiative aimed at disseminating information about the “Prime Minister Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana” (PMVBRY), the Lucknow unit of Laghu Udyog Bharati, in collaboration with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), hosted a seminar for local entrepreneurs on Wednesday evening. The event sought to inform district entrepreneurs about the newly approved Employment-Linked Incentive Scheme under the central government’s plan.

The seminar saw the presence of Ashwani Kumar Gupta, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, and Uday Bakshi, Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh, as chief guests.

Scheme Aims to Create 3.5 Crore Jobs

Addressing the gathering, Ashwani Kumar Gupta highlighted that the Government of India has approved the employment-linked Prime Minister Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana to promote job creation, enhance employment potential, and boost social security across all sectors, with a special focus on manufacturing.

“With an outlay of Rs 99,446 crore, the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana aims to encourage the creation of over 3.5 crore jobs in the country over a period of two years,” stated Gupta. He further clarified that the benefits of this scheme will apply to jobs created between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027.

Direct Benefits for Employers and Employees

Gupta emphasized that the scheme is particularly beneficial for industries and their workers. Its objective is to incentivize productive employers to create new jobs. Employers whose employees are registered with EPFO will be eligible to receive a maximum assistance of Rs 3,000 per worker per month from the government for workers earning up to Rs 1 lakh in salary. First-time employees will also be able to receive direct benefits into their accounts.

Prashant Bhatia, Special Contact Head of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Awadh Province, noted that the implementation of this scheme would benefit a greater number of employees and expand employment opportunities in micro-industries. During the program, entrepreneurs received detailed information about the scheme.

The event was organized by Arun Bhatia, Keshav Mathur (President, Lucknow), Rajiv Sharma (General Secretary, Lucknow), Anuj Sahani (Treasurer, Lucknow), Sumit Mittal, and Pravesh Jain (Vice Presidents), with the support of Lucknow’s industrialists.
