Amethi: Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), beneficiaries received symbolic subsidy cheques for the free LPG cylinders provided to them. The event took place at the District Panchayat Resource Center, Gauriganj, in the presence of District Panchayat Chairman Rajesh Agrahari, District Magistrate Nisha Anant, Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) Arpit Gupta, BJP District President Ramprasad Mishra, and several other officials and public representatives.
The program featured a live telecast of the Chief Minister’s address on an LED screen, which was viewed by both beneficiaries and officials. Following this, the symbolic subsidy cheques were distributed to the beneficiaries.
District Supply Officer Shashikant provided key details, stating that from October 2024 to March 2025, free LPG refills are being distributed in two phases. In the first phase, 88,086 beneficiaries received refills, while 53,723 beneficiaries received them in the second phase. So far, under Ujjwala Yojana 1.0 and 2.0, a total of 3,02,531 free gas connections have been distributed across the district.

On this occasion, the District Panchayat Chairman hailed the Ujjwala Yojana as a significant step toward women empowerment and extended Holi greetings to all present.
