Lucknow: The stage at Sant Gadge Ji Maharaj Auditorium lit up with laughter, nostalgia, and heartfelt performances as Imran Rasheed-directed play Phir Se Shaadi marked the second power-packed presentation in the seventh season of Repertwahr Weekends this Sunday.
A romantic comedy with a twist of real-life emotions, the play follows a quirky, heartwarming journey of an Indian Muslim couple—once divorced—rediscovering love, acknowledging their follies, and navigating the hilariously chaotic road to remarriage.
With a stellar cast including Imran Rasheed, Yasir Khan, Rukhsar Rehman, Jyoti Kapoor, Gaurav, Dakshita, and Varun Kumar, the ensemble’s electrifying chemistry and comic timing left the audience not only in splits but also deeply moved. The play’s charm lay in its balance of humour and emotion—proving that second chances in love can be just as magical.
As the curtains fell, the applause echoed long after, with smiles plastered on every face in the crowd.
Repertwahr Weekends, a vibrant collaboration between Repertwahr Foundation and the Uttar Pradesh Cultural Department, continues to serve as a platform for quality theatre from across the country. Held on the second weekend of each month, the initiative has become a cultural calendar highlight in Lucknow.
