PHDCCI Uttar Pradesh Hosts Industry Members Meet and Special Session on Financial Literacy

Lucknow – The Uttar Pradesh State Chapter of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) successfully organized an “Industry Members’ Meet” along with a special session on Financial Literacy on August 5, 2025, at the PHD House in Lucknow. The event aimed to foster dialogue, collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and financial awareness among entrepreneurs and industrial representatives of the state.

The program commenced with a welcome and networking session, offering industry members from across Uttar Pradesh an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and explore future collaborations.

In his opening remarks, Rajesh Nigam, Co-Chair, PHDCCI Uttar Pradesh Chapter, emphasized:

“PHDCCI has consistently served as a robust bridge between the government and industries. Our goal is to make Uttar Pradesh a competitive and attractive investment destination, accelerating the state’s overall economic development.”

Insightful Session on Financial Literacy

Following the inauguration, a knowledge-driven session on Financial Literacy was conducted. The keynote speaker was CS Shruti Sharma, In-Charge – National Stock Exchange (NSE), Lucknow, Regulatory Division, Uttar Pradesh.

She highlighted the growing importance of financial understanding and planning in today’s dynamic economy. Topics such as investment strategies, savings, tax planning, compliance frameworks, and emerging opportunities for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) were discussed in detail, providing practical insights for the attendees.

The event was graced by prominent industrialists and senior PHDCCI members, including:

  • L.K. Jhunjhunwala, Senior Member, PHDCCI & Chairman, KM Sugar Mills Ltd.
  • Yawar Ali Shah, Senior Member, PHDCCI
  • K.M. Bhargava, Senior Member, PHDCCI
  • Dr. Narendra, Senior Member, PHDCCI

Members of the secretariat and other stakeholders also marked their presence.

In the closing address, . Atul Srivastava, Regional Director, PHDCCI Uttar Pradesh, extended gratitude to all participants and stated:

“PHDCCI will continue to empower industries through interactive, knowledge-based platforms. Our commitment is to transform Uttar Pradesh into a financially literate, investment-ready, and innovation-driven industrial state.”

The event concluded with meaningful discussions on mutual cooperation, new initiatives, and future growth prospects.
