Lucknow: Inspired by Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati Riverfront, a pedestrian bridge is set to be constructed on Lucknow’s Gomti Riverfront. This 100-meter-long and 10-meter-high bridge will connect one bank of the river to the other, offering a scenic view of cruising boats and enhancing the city’s tourism appeal.
To ensure the bridge’s design is both unique and captivating, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) organized an architectural design competition. The contest drew 24 entries from across the country, including Delhi, Goa, and Bengaluru. The final design will be selected from these entries, and the bridge will be built accordingly.
LDA Vice Chairman Prathamesh Kumar shared that the bridge will be constructed near the ADCP office on the Gomti Riverfront. Spanning approximately 100 meters in length, 15 meters in width, and standing 10 meters high, this bridge is expected to become a major tourist attraction in Lucknow.
