Patna pays its last respects to BJP veteran Sushil Modi

Patna: Former Deputy CM of Bihar Sushil Modi died  at AIIMS, Delhi. His mortal remains have been brought from Delhi to Patna today and have been kept at his Rajendra Nagar residence for the last darshan. From his residence the mortal remains will be taken first to the state office of BJP and then to the Assembly and Legislative Council. Where he will be given a heartfelt tribute.

BJP leaders paid tribute

The mortal remains of Sushil Kumar Modi reached Patna in the afternoon by a special plane. Even before his mortal remains arrived, both the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha and many senior leaders of the state BJP reached the airport and paid tribute to him.

After reaching Patna, Sushil Modi’s mortal remains were first kept at his private residence. Where his family and people will be able to have their last glimpse. From here his mortal remains will be taken to the BJP state office, where the party people will have his last darshan and will be able to pay tribute. After this, his mortal remains will be taken to Digha Ghat via Assembly, where his last rites will be performed.

Sushil lModi: Funeral to be held at 6 pm

It is being told that his last journey will begin after the last darshan and tribute. The last rites of Sushil Kumar Modi will be performed at Digha Ghat in Patna at 6 pm. Many dignitaries including BJP President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, CM Nitish Kumar will attend the funeral. It is noteworthy that on Monday, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and veteran BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi died in a hospital in Delhi. He was suffering from cancer for the last several months.
