New Delhi – Passage Art Gallery is all set to showcase a solo exhibition by celebrated contemporary artist Nawal Kishore, titled “Divine Love.” The preview of the show will take place on March 19, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the gallery located at 66, Khan Market, New Delhi – 110003. The exhibition will be open to the public from March 20 to April 14, 2025, between 10 AM to 6 PM (Monday to Friday).
About the Artist
Born in 1977 in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, Nawal Kishore has carved a niche for himself in the world of contemporary art through his evocative and deeply humanistic works. A graduate with a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Lucknow College of Arts & Crafts, Nawal’s art resonates with the themes of love, beauty, bonding, and divine connection, exploring the depths of human emotions through a sophisticated aesthetic lens.
His figurative work is marked by sensuality, compassion, and intricate detailing, with stylized angular faces, geometric overlays, and a profound interplay of light and color. Drawing from the ancient Indian aesthetic philosophy of ‘rasas’, Nawal’s canvases exude a meditative quality, inviting the viewer into a realm of introspection, spiritual longing, and emotive resonance.
Artistic Journey and Accolades
Nawal has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the M.F. Hussain Award (2016), a Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, India (2016–18), and the All India Award in Water Colors and Drawing from AIFACS, New Delhi. His works have been showcased across India and internationally in cities such as Bangalore, Shillong, Kargil, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Delhi, Singapore, Dubai, and the USA.
His paintings grace the walls of government offices, private industries, and notable private collections including those of Amit Shah (President, BJP), actor and politician Jaya Prada, and the Slovak Republic Embassy, New Delhi, among others. Nawal currently resides in the Delhi NCR region.
