Lucknow: The Para Police of the Lucknow Police Commissionerate have arrested a woman accused in the murder of a youth, who was identified as her husband, in a case reported from the western zone of the city.
According to police, on December 21, 2025, the father of the deceased, Shivdeen, a resident of Bhadesarmau village under Malihabad police station, submitted a written complaint at Para police station. He alleged that his son Shiv Prakash, who was living with his wife in a temporary hut near Haider Canal, Purvedin Kheda, close to Modi Bhatha, had been murdered by his wife in connivance with her lover.
Based on the complaint, FIR No. 873/2025 was registered at Para police station under Sections 103(1) and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Taking the matter seriously, a special police team was constituted to unravel the case.
During the investigation, police arrested Satish Gautam (21), a resident of Purvedin Kheda near Haider Canal, Para, on December 21, 2025, for his alleged involvement in the crime. He was subsequently sent to judicial custody at the district jail.
Continuing the probe, Para Police on December 22, 2025, arrested Savita Rawat (29), wife of the deceased Shiv Prakash. She is a resident of Bhadesarmau village, Malihabad, and was currently living in a jhuggi near Haider Canal, Purvedin Kheda, close to Modi Bhatha, under Para police station limits.
During interrogation, the accused woman reportedly confessed that she was in a romantic relationship with co-accused Satish Gautam. Her husband had come to know about the affair, following which she, along with her lover, allegedly conspired to murder Shiv Prakash.
Police officials stated that necessary legal proceedings are being carried out against the arrested accused. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.
