Panel Discussion on “Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies” Draws Global Thought Leaders to city

Lucknow — A dynamic and forward-looking panel discussion on “Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies” was successfully held in Lucknow organized by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of U.P.

The high-profile event brought together leading experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore the transformative role of AI and emerging technologies in India and across the globe.

Er. D.P. Singh, President, ACCI UP – UK welcomed all the present panelists and delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting ACCI UP’s range of programs and activities across sectors, including Industrial Development initiatives, high impact interactions in areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization, Sustainability and Environment, Education, Health, Public Policy and Governance.

The session was graced by  Neha Jain, IAS, Special Secretary, IT & Electronics Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Managing Director, UPDESCO, who served as the Chief Guest. In her keynote address,  Jain highlighted the state government’s initiatives to foster innovation, digital inclusion, and AI-driven public service delivery.

A major highlight of the event was the virtual keynote address by  Stephen Ezell, Vice President, Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), Washington D.C., who provided a global perspective on AI policy frameworks, international collaboration, and ethical challenges.

The event also welcomed  Suparna Mukherji, Advisor, Public Diplomacy Section, Embassy of the United States of America, New Delhi, as the Special Invitee, who emphasized Indo-U.S. cooperation in digital technology and innovation.

The session was expertly moderated by Mr. VaibhavVaidya, CEO and Managing Director, SAV Consulting Inc, Canada, who facilitated a thought-provoking and interactive dialogue among the panelists.

The distinguished panel included:

  •  Pramod Dixit, Former Academic Director, PNBIIT, who provided insights into the educational and skill-building dimensions of AI.
  • Dr. Deepak Singh, Associate Professor, IIIT Lucknow, who discussed cutting-edge research and innovation happening in academic circles.
  • Ramish Zaidi, Chairman, Regional Council, NASSCOM, who shared the industry’s perspective on AI adoption and future workforce trends.

The discussion explored the evolving AI landscape, ethical considerations, and the need for robust public-private-academic partnerships to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by emerging technologies.

The event concluded with a strong call for collaboration, capacity building, and inclusive technology-driven growth.
