Lucknow | Palm Sunday, also known as “Khajooron ka Itwaar,” was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at Assembly of Believers Church on Sunday morning.
The service began at 9:30 AM with a warm welcome and opening prayer led by Sister Vartika, setting a spiritual tone for the gathering. The worship session followed, with Shobhit and the church’s worship team presenting the hymn “Dekh Tera Raja Aata Hai,” filling the atmosphere with reverence and joy.
Youth and Choir Lead Worship
The church youth played an active role in the celebration by presenting special worship segments. A soulful musical offering by Arpan Shalom, Surbhi, and Alan added to the spiritual fervor of the occasion.
Sneha, Anjali Gupta, and Pastor Upendra shared readings and reflections from the Bible, highlighting the significance of Palm Sunday and its message of humility and faith.
Message of Hope and Compassion
Delivering the main sermon, Senior Pastor Dr Morris Kumar emphasized the deeper meaning of the day. He spoke about the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, describing Him as a compassionate and humble king who brings peace into people’s lives.

Devotional Music and Skit
Rohit and Oswin led the congregation in praise and worship songs, creating a spiritually uplifting environment. Adding a creative touch to the celebration, children of the church presented a beautifully enacted skit under the guidance of Meenakshi, depicting the victorious entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

The entire congregation dressed in green attire, symbolizing the occasion, while the church premises were decorated with palm leaves to mark the significance of the day.
