New Delhi: In a strong and emotional statement, Dr. General V.K. Singh, former Army Chief and current Governor of Mizoram, lauded the Indian Army’s retaliatory action following the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam. He praised the precision strike carried out late Wednesday night on nine terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan, calling it “Operation Sindoor” — a symbolic mission to avenge the bloodshed of innocent lives and families torn apart by terror.
Speaking late night, General Singh declared, “The barbaric Pahalgam attack was the beginning, and India will script the end. Our response is not just a message, it’s a resolve.”
He emphasized that the Indian forces displayed immense restraint by avoiding any direct assault on Pakistani military installations, focusing strictly on terror infrastructure. “We are not fighting Pakistan’s army—we are targeting the evil that hides behind them. This is the new India. We do not tolerate, we retaliate. And when we strike, we strike with precision and purpose,” he said.
Operation Sindoor, named to honour the loss of those martyred in the Pahalgam attack—many of whom were family men—was executed with meticulous planning. Singh added that the mission reflects India’s evolving doctrine: bold, focused, and unapologetically aggressive in protecting national sovereignty.

Issuing a direct warning to Pakistan, Singh said, “You started this war by shedding innocent blood. Now bear the consequences. Either stop supporting terrorism or be ready to be wiped from the map. India will finish what Pakistan began.”
Calling for national unity, he urged all 1.4 billion Indians to stand together in solidarity with the armed forces. “We may speak different languages, come from different regions, but when it comes to the nation, we are one. We are Indians. Let’s raise the morale of our forces and show the world once again what unity in diversity truly means.”
General V.K. Singh’s statement comes amidst heightened tensions and nationwide mourning after the Pahalgam tragedy. His words not only reflect the collective anger of a nation but also reinforce India’s uncompromising stance against terrorism.
