As late night development, Pakistan Agrees to Play T20 World Cup Match Against India After High-Level Talks
Pakistan has finally agreed to play its much-anticipated T20 World Cup 2026 match against India, following intense closed-door meetings held in Lahore involving officials from the BCCI, PCB, ICC, and after a special request from the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
After initial reluctance, the Pakistan Cricket Board made a U-turn and consented to face India on 15 February 2026. As per the original schedule, the high-voltage encounter will now be played in Colombo, ensuring the fixture remains intact without any further disruption.

The decision comes as a major relief for the ICC and cricket fans worldwide, as the India-Pakistan clash is one of the most anticipated matches of the tournament and plays a crucial role in the event’s global viewership and commercial value.
